Brighton set to get over 200 new EV charging points

More than 200 new electric vehicle charging points are set to be installed across Brighton over the next few months. Following a tender process, the Brighton & Hove City Council has appointed Electric Blue to install and maintain the electric vehicle charge points. The company has carried out similar installations in St Albans, Coventry and Cambridge.

Volvo Buses has received the largest single order for electric buses in Europe. Volvo Buses will deliver 157 electric articulated buses to Transdev starting in 2020. The buses will operate on a number of routes in Gothenburg. With their introduction, emissions and noise will be significantly reduced, and the electric buses will be able to operate in sensitive areas or zones with special restrictions.

KG, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the further expansion of the hydrogen (H2) infrastructure. Under the agreement, by the end of 2021 more than 60,000 fuel cell cars and 500 commercial vehicles would be able to refuel in Germany.
